This project was the first of its kind in the Pharr Districts. TCC partnered with TxDOT to implement alternate traffic control plans to reduce road user costs and allow TCC to get ahead of schedule and increase production.
TCC removed existing pavement throughout the project limits. TCC lime-treated the subgrade and cement-treated the flexible base. Bond breaker was installed at 4in. of ACP.
This project consisted of approximately 16,000 cubic yards 9in concrete paving.
Project estimated at 24 months. TCC is ahead of schedule and is expected to complete the job within 19 months.
